You asked: "How can I get registration for the new emulator from desktop?" Simple:
Enter your mail address and name and click "Request Key" then you get email with the key. This you enter into the fields above.
Make sure you selected "Desktop" -> As "normal" emulator registration is not required and doesn't open.
